Mithun Purandare (born 29 May 1981〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1912515/bio )〕 is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films. A former model, Purandare was a top 5 finalist at the Haywards 5000 Mr. India 2008 competition. He made his acting debut in the festival film called ''Kaash Hamara Dil Pagal na Hota''. It was first time in Bollywood history where a real deaf and dumb girl was playing the lead role. He also acted in the 2005 Bollywood film, ''Mumbai Godfather'' opposite Seema Biswas. He has also acted in theatre with Ansh Group and Makarand Deshpande. He is currently workin on multiple projects with national award winner Rajiv Patil, Makarand Deshpande and Mugdha Godse.Recently completed First International Short Film “ Day Trip to London”(Trailer ) & Winner of NIIF 2014 the best actor award for comedy.(website ) He is also ISSA Certified (USA) personal trainer working with exclusive clients. While kids around him would pay more attention to studies over other activities, his interests have always been more inclined towards different kinds of sports and extra-curricular activities. Dancing, acting in plays, cricket and taekwando helped mold him into the person he is today. Mithun Purandare has not only modeled for top designers, but also acted in advertisements and music videos. On participating in Mr.India 2008, he emerged as one of the runners up. Thereon, he has worked with some of the best names in the industry. He worked with Makrand Desphpande. Recently, Mithun has finished writing a script called "Injurious to Health" (a love story with the backdrop of drugs and psychedelic music) along with Mugda Godse and Rajiv Patil. Apart from acting in it, he also plans on being a part of the film-making process. Lately, he has also been signed for the remake of the film Laadla playing Anil Kapoors role.
